Climate Action Week

Climate Action Week

Climate Action Week is our annual flagship sustainability engagement event.

Queen Mary’s Climate Action Week is a chance for students, staff, and the wider community to come together to explore bold, creative, and collaborative responses to the climate crisis — through workshops, talks, and hands-on experiences that connect sustainability to every part of university life.

Previously Green Week, run alongside a November Sustainability Week, in 2024 we worked closely with Queen Mary Students’ Union to merge the two weeks. This resulted in the biggest sustainability-dedicated week run by the university so far. Bringing together teams across the university and partnering with community organisations such as Sustainably Muslim, the week saw over 150 attendees with 51 at our Big Canal Clean alone!

Planning for next year’s Climate Action Week is currently underway, so watch this space for updates on how you can get involved. In the meantime, if you have any questions please get in touch with sustainability@qmul.ac.uk, copying in z.sturgess@qmul.ac.uk, our strategic engagement lead.
