Behind-the-Scenes Energy Switch Off

When: Friday, February 21, 2025, 4:45 PM - 6:30 PM
Where: Meet at Blomeley 1, Mile End

Join us for Queen Mary’s first ever Switch Off event! An opportunity for students and staff to come together to learn about energy consumption and take action to reduce it.

The event will kick off with an introduction from Queen Mary's Energy & Sustainability Manager, who will share insights into the importance of energy efficiency and how small changes across the university can make a big impact.

Then, we'll embark on a unique after-hours tour of our campus buildings. Together we'll switch off non-essential equipment, helping to reduce our energy footprint and highlight the opportunities for behaviour change. You may even be in with the chance of getting a behind-the-scenes look at the plant rooms – the energy hubs of our buildings!

As a thank you for helping us work towards our energy reduction goals, delicious plant-based food and refreshments will be provided.
