Profile

I completed my medical degree at UCL before starting haematology training in the South London deanery. After completing my FRCPath examinations, I took time out of training to pursue a PhD at Queen Mary supervised by Professor Laura Green and Dr Ross Davenport.

Research

Research Interests:

I am an NHSBT clinical research fellow undertaking a PhD looking into the role of whole blood transfusion in major trauma bleeding. This project will explore the effects of whole blood transfusion within the SWiFT trial on the haemostasis of trauma patients with a focus on thrombin generation. Alongside this I will look at the possible wider implications of providing this new component to patients including reviewing the challenges of managing supply and wastage.
