Profile
Dr Hassan graduated from the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) and subsequently completed two academic Master’s degrees: one in Oral Implantology from King Juan Carlos University/Madrid (with distinction) and another in Aesthetic Medicine (with distinction) from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). In 2018, he completed his clinical PhD from the University of Gothenburg. Additionally, he holds a Diploma in Oral Implantology (Royal College of Surgeons England / RCS Eng) and Sedation (Kings College London / Guys Hospital), and a Fellowship from RCS Eng.
Currently, Dr Hassan is a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Module Lead in Aesthetic Medicine and Oral Surgery at the Blizzard Institute (Academic Plastic Surgery Programmes) and the Royal London Hospital/QMUL. He also serves as an examiner in Oral Implantology at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Internationally, he holds the posts of Honorary Professor, Examiner, and MSc/PhD Supervisor in Oral Implantology at King Juan Carlos University. He is also a Visiting Clinical Researcher in the Department of Natural Sciences at Middlesex University London.
In 2019, Dr Hassan received the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) Quality Research Award for his clinical paper, Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin for Facial Rejuvenation. His joint research articles have also been recognised with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in 2023, and a 2nd place award in 2024, by BCAM. His research, which primarily focuses on developing educational tools as well as in regenerative treatments, platelet-rich derivatives (PRF/allogenic growth factors), oral surgery, sedation, and dental implants, has been recognised with several awards, including the Blizard Institute Award for Outstanding Contribution to Education (2024), Outstanding Clinical Tutor Award in Oral Surgery at QMUL (2024), Teaching Innovation Award from the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at QMUL (2025), and President and Principal’s Prize for Educational Excellence (2025).
He actively participates in international congresses and educational meetings such as Queen Mary Academy Educational Festival, where he shares his research and educational findings. His research has been widely published in several peer-reviewed journals.
