Tuberculosis Online PGCert
Our Tuberculosis Online PGCert is a part-time, 9-month postgraduate certificate program, designed for healthcare professionals in infection specialties, respiratory medicine, TB nurses, and public health workers. The course focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of drug-susceptible and drug-resistant Tuberculosis. It includes four compulsory modules: Introduction to Tuberculosis, Risk Factors and Risk Groups, Multidrug-resistant Tuberculosis, and Public Health in Tuberculosis. The program is delivered through online lectures, videos, seminars, tutorials, and interactive reading materials. Lectures are given by leading international experts, and students participate in weekly live seminars. The course aims to enhance knowledge of TB, provide tools and insights for better practice, and prepare a new generation of TB specialists.
MSc in Medical Microbiology
Our MSc in Medical Microbiology is Accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS), and offers opportunities to analyse cutting-edge medical microbiology research (including tuberculosis research), assess methodologies, and propose new ideas. Students are given opportunities to gain hands-on experience in a clinical microbiology laboratory, engage in collaborative discussions, and relate studies to real-world practices. Whether you are progressing from undergraduate study, or working around your existing role, this MSc will prepare you for your first role in Medical Microbiology, or allow you to progress into a new role in the field.
