One of the highlights of my MSc.

Taking part in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Capstone Project was one of the highlights of my MSc. Our team worked with Decentials, a social enterprise that supports people in prison through its products and social mission. Although I had previously worked in technology consultancy, this project gave me the opportunity to experience consulting in a completely different industry with a strong social purpose.
My role focused on supplier and partnership strategies. I researched how social enterprises could grow without losing their mission, analysed different organisations, and developed practical recommendations for Decentials. It was rewarding to see how the theories we learned in class could be applied to a real client and used to solve real business challenges.

The project also strengthened my research, analytical thinking, teamwork, and presentation skills. Working with teammates taught me how to manage different ideas and deadlines while keeping the project on track. Presenting our recommendations to the client also improved my confidence in communicating complex ideas clearly.
Overall, this experience showed me that entrepreneurship is not only about business growth but also about creating positive social impact. It has broadened my perspective and will be valuable as I continue my career in consulting.
