QMentoring
QMentoring is a programme that connects undergraduate students and recent graduates from across all three faculties with a member of our alumni community, or a UK-based professional.
Through these one-to-one relationships with their QMentors, mentees are supported to make better informed career choices, develop their employability skills, and gain confidence with applying for graduate job roles.
Benefits of being a QMentor
As a QMentor, you will have the opportunity to:
- Make a difference to an undergraduate student or recent graduate by supporting them with the early stages of their career development;
- Reflect on your own career path and progression, as well as share your knowledge and experience to benefit your mentee;
- Enhance your professional development and aquire new skills;
- Support pathways to increase the diversity pipeline of your organisation;
- Raise the profile of your organisation amongst Queen Mary staff and students.
QMentoring programme received a commendation for the Widening Access Initiative (Retention and Progression) Award at the 2023 NEON Awards.
