At Queen Mary University of London’s Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS), we take great pride in celebrating the achievements of our alumni, and Anisha Mathur (Intellectual Property Law LLM, 2016) is no exception. Anisha Mathur's dedication to the legal profession and commitment to continuous learning have earned her a place as one of the top three finalists from India  in the Business and Innovation category at the British Council Study UK Alumni Awards 2025.

Anisha’s recognition highlights not just professional success, but years of perseverance and dedication. During her time at CCLS, where she was awarded Distinction, she honed her skills and deepened her understanding of the legal landscape. Today, she applies that knowledge in diverse and evolving sectors, making a meaningful impact through her work.

Her firm, Shepherd Law & Associates, which she founded, has also been recognised at the Lex-Falcon Global Awards 2024 in the categories of Dispute Resolution, Corporate/Commercial, and Intellectual Property. This reflects the firm’s commitment to delivering strategic legal solutions while adapting to the challenges of an ever-changing business environment.

More than just awards, this moment is about recognising the value of hard work, continuous learning, and professional growth. Queen Mary played a pivotal role in shaping Anisha’s approach to problem-solving and legal strategy, and this achievement stands as a reminder of how a strong academic foundation can pave the way for future success.

To students and fellow alumni—this is a testament to what can be accomplished with dedication and perseverance. The journey is never about individual success but about contributing meaningfully to the profession and those we serve.
