Dafni Eirini Melitsi holding her Maritime Master’s Competition award
The Insurance, Shipping & Aviation Law Institute offers two LLMs taught by leading academics, based on rigorous, cutting-edge research.
We are the only law department in the country to be involved in Maritime UK’s annual Maritime Masters competition in which master’s students from 11 UK universities engaged in the study of different maritime disciplines present their research projects to a varied audience of practitioners from the maritime sector. Queen Mary is the only institution to have won the award twice. Tessa Jones won the inaugural competition in 2018 and Dafni Eirini Melitsi won in 2023.
