What Needs to be Done

Participants emphasized the need for collective action by creatives, unions, and policymakers to address the risks of generative AI. Key priorities include enforcing transparency in contracts, strengthening intellectual property protections, and ensuring fair compensation for creatives whose work is used to train AI models. Education and advocacy are also critical, both to empower professionals to use AI responsibly and to push for global standards that safeguard creative work from exploitation.
