Worker Type

The impact of Generative AI on workers varies significantly by employment type, with employees experiencing the least disruption, benefiting from job security and productivity gains. In contrast, self-employed and freelance workers face greater financial risks and instability, while temporary, zero-hours and agency workers are the most vulnerable, reporting the highest levels of job insecurity and financial losses. Overall, AI is amplifying existing inequalities, with those in precarious work conditions bearing the brunt of negative effects.
