Profile
I am a social work practitioner and academic with over 20 years of experience focused on advancing social work and child protection with Romani and Traveller communities. Recognised as a leading expert, I have published extensively and presented at high-level forums such as the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights, the House of Lords, and international conferences. My research has influenced practice, policy, education, and ethics, leading to measurable benefits for marginalised communities and broader systemic reform. Through local and global collaborations, I continue to strengthen impact across multiple sectors. As an affiliated researcher at Ilisimatusarfik’s Center for Children & Adolescent Research Environment, I support culturally grounded, evidence-informed child welfare practices that meet local needs while contributing to global discourse.
