Dena Aufseeser's research is concerned with the production of child poverty and inequality in a range of spaces. She takes a multiscalar approach to examine the relationship between children's rights and the governance of economically disadvantaged children, looking at how children manage, resist and rework the conditions of their daily lives. She examines questions related to migration, children's work and activism, and education, among other topics.
