Dr Isobelle Barrett Meyering is a historian of feminism, the family and childhood. She has been based at Macquarie University since 2018 and is currently an ARC DECRA Research Fellow in the School of Humanities. Isobelle is the author of Feminism and the Making of a Child Rights Revolution 1969-1979 (Melbourne University Press, 2022), which explored feminists' radical visions of children's liberation in 1970s Australia. She is currently working on a new history of Australian children's citizenship and political engagement since 1945. She is also part of a team investigating human rights and campaigns to end corporal punishment in Australia and Britain (1970-2000).
