Ashitha is a PhD Candidate and Dr. T. M. A. Pai PhD Fellow in Gender, Sexuality, and Cultural Studies at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). Her doctoral research examines disidentifications and the politics of (in)visibility in non-normative childhoods in India, through auto/biographical narrative analysis. She is a recipient of grants and fellowships from the Piramal Foundation, the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), and MAHE. Her research has appeared in journals including Sexuality and Culture, the Journal for Cultural Research, and the Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics.
