Brian Gran is a sociologist and lawyer whose scholarship concentrates on children's rights, law, and social policy. He was a Robert Wood Johnson Scholar in Health Policy at Yale University and, as a Fulbright Scholar, taught a course on children's rights to the Law School of Reykjavik University and conducted research on Iceland's Ombudsman for Children. Gran was a 2020-2021 Jefferson Science Fellow of the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. He serves as an expert consultant to the U.S. Department of State.
