Marieke Hopman is a children's rights researcher who combines her background in philosophy, childhood studies and law with interdisciplinary research that includes empirical work in various places. She is the author of Looking at Law Through Children's Eyes (2021). One main element in her work is to always involve children themselves in research, where possible. Currently she is finishing a project on the rights of children who are living in de facto states (www.childrensrightsresearch.com).
