Aneesa is a doctoral student in Education at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia specializing in Curriculum and Instruction. Her research is using book-authoring as a path to place-based, decolonized climate literacy for middle and high schoolers in the global south. She has developed and pilot tested the Young Climate Authors program and an associated educator training program. She is a CEE Change Fellow with the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) and a Fellow with the Center for Climate Literacy.
