Profile

Dr Barbara Németh is a psychologist and child participation expert working with and for children since 2012, with a multidisciplinary academic background and extensive research experience. She has collaborated with leading child rights organizations in Hungary (Hintalovon Child Rights Foundation, UNICEF Hungary) and contributed to research projects with universities such as ELTE, Antwerp, KU Leuven, and Bologna. Her consultancy work supports civil, private, and public sector actors in promoting children’s rights, mental health, and child-friendly services. A member of Eurochild and the Hungarian Child Rights Coalition, she has also facilitated children’s participation in research, awareness-raising campaigns, and international monitoring mechanisms, and developed guidelines and child-friendly resources to promote meaningful participation. In her doctoral research, she examined children’s participation in decision-making within the parent–child relationship.
