Dr. Turkan Firinci Orman is an interdisciplinary youth scholar with over 15 years of experience in academia, international organisations, and government, specialising in youth geographies, environmental education, and transformative pedagogies. Her research explores environmental citizenship, youth political behaviour, and utopian envisioning through grassroots and public pedagogies. As a tenured professor and project leader, Dr. Turkan Firinci Orman has developed research-informed postgraduate curricula in sociology and led participatory workshops with young people in diverse contexts. She has directed international research projects and fostered collaborative, interdisciplinary learning environments. Her work advances critical education and engaged research to promote equitable and sustainable futures.
