Elena Patrizi holds a Master of Law from the University of Urbino, Italy (2013) and an LLM in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights from the Geneva Academy, Switzerland (2016). She is PhD candidate at the University of Geneva’s Centre for Children’s Rights Studies in Sion, Switzerland, where she works as teaching assistant for the Interdisciplinary Master in Children's Rights (MIDE). Her doctoral research entitled "Reparation for forcibly removed children’s claims in England and Switzerland: the use of transitional justice in non-transitional societies?" focuses on the emerging fields of reparation for historical wrongs and transitional justice.
