Rianka Roy is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Wake Forest University, North Carolina, USA. She studies high-skilled labor, migration, and labor movements through the lens of race and gender. Her additional research interests are in digital technology and media. In her most recent research, she has studied Indian tech workers' collective action in India and the US. She also looks into various issues related to high-skilled workers' and immigrants' families - more specifically, how children in high-skilled immigrant families participate in activism demanding access to citizenship.
