Profile

At present, my research interests are focused on three main areas: (1) The study of the body through the lens of the impairment-disability paradigm, with particular attention to how children perceive and define non-conforming bodies across diverse contexts in both the Global South and the Global North; (2) Research on violence against women, with a specific focus on the role of local network initiatives in combating and preventing this phenomenon, femicide, as well as the methods and techniques relevant to its study; and (3) Children's participation and activism in support of social and environmental justice.

Methodologically, my research is rooted in qualitative inquiry, drawing primarily on participant observation, in-depth interviews, and focus groups.
