I have been a lecturer in HE and a practising football coach for over 30 years. Over the past five years, I have been developing an interest in the intersection between children's rights and sports coaching. This has been stimulated through my involvement in the FIFA and Open University partnership that has a developed a global education programme for safeguarding specialists in football.
