Profile
I graduated in Mosul, Iraq in 1994 then finished two years SHO job in Mosul. Moved to Libya to work as general dentist in a district hospital for 5 years where I gained experience in oral surgery under specialist supervision.
In 2002 I moved to London where I had to do my IQE to requalify my overseas degree and started a part time community dental officer job at Bart's community dental service where I treated adults and children with complex medical history and anxiety. I also worked for the Emergency dental services at Bart's treating emergency adult and children cases.
In 2012 I decided to advance my career and started a MClinDent course in paediatric dentistry at Queen Mary University of London which I completed in 2015. I was then appointed in my current role in Paediatric dentistry at QMUL. I was also awarded with PGCAP in 2018
I was awarded the Membership in Paediatric Dentistry in 2021 followed by DSFE in Paediatric Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Teaching
Currently involved in undergraduate teaching and clinical supervision. I am the 5th year undergraduate paediatric module lead. Involved in postgraduate DClinDent paediatric dentistry teaching and clinical supervision teaching the postgraduate Lab-tech module. Involved in postgraduate students audit supervision.
