FAQs: What to Expect When Filming
It depends on the format and location. A simple interview might take around 30 minutes, while a more detailed production could take an hour or more. We’ll discuss everything with you beforehand, so you’ll know what to expect and have time for retakes if needed.
Yes. After editing, we’ll send you a rough cut so you can provide feedback before we finalise the video. This is your opportunity to request any reasonable changes.
Most people feel this way at first, but we’re here to help. We use professional lighting, audio, and framing to ensure you look and sound your best. Adjustments can also be made in post-production. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident on screen.
A script ensures clarity, accuracy, and keeps key points on track. While we aim for a conversational tone, unscripted videos often include rambling or filler words ("um," "er"). A teleprompter reduces on-camera nerves and keeps delivery smooth. You’ll collaborate with our team to shape the script together, so it feels natural.
Our multimedia team is based at Dean Rees House, Charterhouse Square (First Floor) for on-campus filming. We can also film off-campus upon request—just let us know in advance.
