Support available at Queen Mary
Funding for what was once known as ‘Bands 1 and 2 Non-Medical Helpers’ Support’ was removed from the Disabled Students’ Allowance scheme a few years ago. It is now only available to a few students, mainly those with sensory impairment who may require a specialist note-taker.
Queen Mary has a legal obligation to anticipate the needs of its disabled students and to ensure that they receive appropriate reasonable adjustments. You can find out more about this support and how to apply below. You will also be able to find the criteria we use to make decisions about whether or not to provide a student with this form of support.
