Lord Browne Essay Prize 2025 winners

We are delighted to announce the winners of the Lord Browne Energy and Climate Change Law Essay Prize for 2024/25.

In reviewing the papers, we looked for essays that:

  • demonstrated Independent and original thought with ideas, supported by sound arguments and evidence.
  • made a contribution to relevant, current subject on energy and climate change law.
  • showed clarity of expression.

First prize was awarded to Stanislaw Majewskiis for his essay on the Legal Responses to Supply Chain Disruptions in the Offshore Wind Industry. The judges found it contained an interesting and novel analysis of potential contractual enhancements to improve supply chain risk management. This was drawn in part from analogous industries, including the oil and gas industry. Overall, they found the essay demonstrated a high level of independent and original thought.

Second prize was jointly awarded to Tayfun Yildiz and Umay Genç.

The Lord Browne Energy and Climate Change Law Essay Prize is awarded annually to the three most innovative dissertations submitted by students on the Energy and Climate Change Law LLM. We'd like to thank the distinguished businessman, engineer and scientist, Lord Browne, who has kindly lent his name and support to the Prize.
