As I began surveying potential programmes, Queen Mary quickly stood out. It is a world-class institution that has produced (and actively employs) incredibly gifted scholars while remaining very accessible.

When I decided that I wanted to study History for my MA, London was a natural choice. For a lifelong Utah kid, attending graduate school in this enormous, ancient city was a dream. As I began surveying potential programmes, Queen Mary quickly stood out. It is a world-class institution that has produced (and actively employs) incredibly gifted scholars while remaining very accessible.
I applied and was accepted, and it was the perfect decision! I have absolutely loved this programme. It has challenged me, expanded my vision, and given me opportunities to grow and learn hands-on through an amazing built-in research scheme. I have also had the privilege of being mentored in small groups and even one-on-one by outstanding historians, as well as learning from talented fellow students who have become friends.
I could not have asked for a better MA experience. If you are an American considering coming to London for school, Queen Mary should be the first place you look!
