Taught by experts from the Schools of History and Politics and International Relations, our joint honours degree in History and Politics examines the close links between these two disciplines. This degree is designed to help you understand the modern world and uncover the history of political thought.

What’s the relationship between a piece of literature and the time it was written? What influence do literary texts have on social, cultural, and political life? Study this combination of subjects to link the social and political history of a period with its literary texts, giving you the chance to reflect on these questions and more.
