E Cycle Storage and Charging

Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs) are a regulated sub-group of what are known as E-bikes which are built to a specific standard and have a specific legal status in the UK.

The policy below outlines the storage and charging of EAPCs at Queen Mary.

Devices that are not permitted for storing and charging inside Queen Mary buildings: -
Lithium-ion batteries commonly found in larger electronic devices such as:

  • E-scooters
  • E-motorcycles
  • E-bikes
