Emergency First Aid at Work (FAA Level 3 Award - 1 Day) - HS034
Course Summary
This FAA Level 3 National Award in Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), for First Aid. All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.
Duration
This course is a one-day course, 09:00-17:00 hrs.

This is an in-person classroom-based course.
Delegates
This course is open to all Queen Mary permanent staff who wish to gain a basic knowledge of first aid and is ideal for low hazard environments (e.g. offices, shops, libraries) or where your needs assessment identifies a requirement for a first aider trained in emergency first aid at work. Places are allocated on a business need basis. For example, if one school has sufficient mental health first aiders then places on the courses are allocated elsewhere. Although these courses can go towards someone’s CPD and is ideal for many roles it is not their primary function, which is to ensure Queen Mary is compliant under The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the First Aid Regulations 1981.

A Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner will need to complete the full course again to requalify for a further three years.
