First Aid at Work (FAA Level 3 Award - 3 days) – HS035

This FAA Level 3 National Award in First Aid at Work is a comprehensive three-day course that covers a wide range of first aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with emergencies with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way.

Suitability: This course is open to all Queen Mary permanent staff who wish to be part of the Queen Mary First Aid team and is ideal for higher or advanced level hazards (e.g. laboratory’s, workshops, working at height or with electricity) or where your needs assessment identifies a requirement to provide additional training, covering a broad syllabus including the recognition and treatment of a wider range of conditions. Once qualified you will be added to the internally published list of first aiders.

External organisations:  Open to attendees from external organisations but please note this course is geared towards Queen Mary policies and procedures. There is normally a fee chargeable to other organisations see QMUL e-Shop for details. To register your interest for this course, please complete the First Aid Training Request Form.

Please note: Places on both the physical and mental first aid courses are allocated on a business need basis. For example, if one school has sufficient first aiders then places on the courses are allocated elsewhere. Although these courses can go towards someone’s CPD and is ideal for many roles it is not their primary function, which is to ensure Queen Mary is compliant under The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the First Aid Regulations 1981.
