IOSH Managing Safely (3 days) - HS032

Course Summary  
This is a three-day course which is accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health® (IOSH). It is delivered under licence by members of QMUL’s Health and Safety Directorate. The course aims to ensure all delegates are aware of their responsibilities and provide them with the information and tools required to manage health and safety in their teams.

3 days - 09:00 to 17:00 

Delivery  
The course is a three-day face to face taught course. The course includes a variety of group exercises, which will enable you to learn in a practical way.   

Delegates  
The course is designed for managers and supervisors in any sector and organisation.  However, it will also be useful for individuals with responsibility for high hazard activities commonly found in engineering science areas.   

Summary   
The course will enable you to: 

  • Understand health and safety responsibilities and accountabilities. 
  • Understand how to assess and control hazards and risks effectively. 
  • Understand how health and safety laws work. 
  • Learn the principles of accident and incident investigation. 
  • Understand how to measure health and safety performance. 

Delegates who reach the required standard in the multi-format assessment and risk assessment project will be awarded the IOSH Managing Safely® Certificate.
