Specialist support

All Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE) students are able to access additional support from Queen Mary's Disability Dyslexia Service (DDS) and Queen Mary's Careers & Enterprise team. In fact, there are staff members who are responsible for providing support to Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry (FMD) students, which includes IHSE students.

Students can access support from other teams at Queen Mary while accessing support from the IHSE Student Support service.

  •  - Recommendations for Reasonable Adjustments
  • - Creating and sharing Student Support Summaries
  • - Providing information on Examinations Access Arrangements
  • - Supporting with Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA)  Applications

  • - 30-minute Medical careers guidance appointments 
  • - Clinical Careers Series - monthly extracurricular workshops (for more details please login to your QM Careers Hub. 
  • Annual Clinical Careers event/fair 
  • - Resources to improve your CV or application 
  • - Tools to practice psychometric tests.
  • - Practical resources to help you prepare for interviews and assessment centres.
  • - For more information about appointments, careers events, entrepreneurial opportunities, mentoring and much more. 
  • All of the above services can be accessed via your QM Careers Hub.
