Dr Tatiana Novoselova, MBBS, MD, PhD Molecular Cellular Neuroscience, FHEA

Tatiana

Lecturer in medical sciences

Email: t.v.novoselova@qmul.ac.uk

Profile

Tatiana is a lecturer in Medical Sciences at the IHSE and is co-lead for the Metabolism in Phase 1. She is involved in teaching on the “Metabolism” and “Brain and Behaviour” modules of Year 1 and Year 2 MBBS as well as the Graduate Entry Program students. She is also Senior Internal Examiner (SIE) for Year 2 Paper B.

She combines clinical education with a strong background in neuroscience and metabolic regulation. Tatiana graduated from one of the top medical schools in Russia and then moved to the UK to study Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience as a PhD student at UCL. After her PhD, she joined QMUL as a postdoctoral researcher to work on the central regulation of metabolism, the physiology of the adrenal gland as well as ataxia. After nine years at QMUL, Tatiana joined Middlesex University London as a Lecturer and then Senior Lecturer in Neuroscience. She undertook program leadership for the MSc Computational Neuroscience program and was teaching level 4-7 students leading six neuroscience-based modules. Along with teaching, Tatiana was involved in research activities by supervising MSc and PhD students as well as in academic leadership as an early career researcher by contributing to the faculty REF2021 submission, departmental RKE and the Ethics committees
