Summary

How do we experience the challenges of intellectual labour in a time when we must practice not only social but also intellectual distancing? Can we take solace in our books and our intellectual peers spread around the world? What are the challenges of seeking to undertake intensive mental labour in the home environment, with all the pressures and distractions that implies? How do expectations change and what are the best strategies for managing these? Are we more vulnerable as academic labourers now?
