"Publish or perish" has become a well-known summary of the pressure to publish academic articles in top journals in order to achieve success and stability in an academic career. However, this pressure can be intense for those who are (trying) to develop an academic career coming from non mainstream circuits. To talk about this, this seminar offers an open conversation about this topic that can be of interest to researchers across IHSS, especially PhD students and early career researchers navigating related challenges. It will also be a chance to know about some funding bid opportunities to develop international research cooperation with Brazilian teams.
This is an internal research in-person seminar for early career researchers and PhD students at QMUL with a possibility to join online. If interested, please contact Dr Louise Ashley l.ashley@qmul.ac.uk.
The seminar is organised by the Centre for Research on Latin America and the Caribbean (CRoLAC) and the Centre for Research in Equality and Diversity (CRED) research seminar and is supported by the IHSS Visiting Fellowship Scheme.
