If you're looking for support with reading, writing, preparing for exams, time management, or presentation skills come along to one of our in-person drop-in sessions. The sessions run every week in The Pod in Whitechapel Library. There's no need to book, you can just turn up.
The sessions run at the following times and locations:
During term time:
Whitechapel Library: Wednesdays, 2pm-4pm in The Pod (on the ground floor near the reception desk)
Over summer:
Not available, please book an appointment instead.
A drop-in session is an unstructured session open to all students at the university. There is no need to book onto a drop-in, you can just turn up. In the session there will be an experienced adviser present, with whom you can discuss your query and receive tailored advice.
You can come along to any session you like without having to book beforehand; if the adviser is free you can talk to them straight away, however if they are currently talking to another student you may be asked to wait and/or given a time slot later into the session in which to come back.
In general, we will not do work or solve problems for you, and we will not proofread your work. We will instead discuss your work with you to understand what the issues are, offer advice, and ultimately help you to do the work yourself.
