Open Access Journals 

  • Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
    The Directory of Open Access Journals makes it possible to browse journals by subject. It is also possible to search within individual journal titles for articles on a specific topic.

Open Access Education Journals

  • International Journal of Evidence Based Coaching and MentoringAims to provide evidence-based, well-researched resources for students, professionals, corporate clients, managers and academic specialists who need to be at the forefront of developments in the field and to offer an accessible yet powerful discussion platform for the growing number of coaching and mentoring practitioners seeking to validate their practice.
  • Journal of Perspectives in Applied Academic Practice Provides a scholarly discourse of academic practice (both generally and in discipline-specific areas) through the publication of papers that are theory-based and supported by evidence, as well as through the publication of Opinion Pieces and ‘On the Horizon’ papers on emerging work.
  • Practice and Evidence of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education This journal offers an opportunity for those involved in University learning and teaching to disseminate their practice. It aims to publish accounts of scholarly practice that report on small-scale practitioner research and case studies of practice that involve reflection, critique, implications for future practice and are informed by relevant literature, with a focus on enhancement of student learning.

    The Digital Public Library of America provides aggregated data from many libraries and archives. Some of the material is in the public domain while other items are licensed under copyright. If you decide to use material from this site please make sure it is licensed for your intended purpose.
  • Open Library
    An initiative which gives you access to full-text resources (free after you sign up).
  • Project Gutenberg
    A portal providing access to e-books, typically from the public domain.

    Browser extension, enabling users to search and download Open Access articles.

Research Impact Assessment Tool

  • Altmetric Bookmarklet
    Enables the user to access the latest Altmetric impact statistics for specific journal articles and other web-based research outputs, via their browsers.
