Lost property
It is your responsibility to look after your belongings, please do not leave belongings unattended, even if it’s just to get a book or grab a coffee. If you lose anything, have your belongings stolen or notice any suspicious behavior, please report this to staff and contact Campus Security.
Lost property is handed to Queen Mary’s Security team. Please check with them in the first instance. Library Services accepts no responsibility for the security of personal belongings left in the libraries and library managed study spaces. More advice on personal safety is available from the Security website.
Out of hours services
Our three libraries are staffed by Security outside of library staffed hours. They are unable to check library accounts or answer circulation queries. Please contact library staff for assistance.
To access library buildings outside of library staffed hours you will need your Queen Mary ID card. Visitors will need to be registered and have a Queen Mary membership card.
Security will patrol the libraries at regular intervals. They will be checking that users are being considerate of their colleagues and using the libraries for study purposes only. If required, please be prepared to produce your ID card.
