Profile

Tyler Kelly is a Professor of Pure Mathematics in the School of Mathematical Sciences. They have research interests in algebraic geometry and mirror symmetry as well as related areas. They currently hold a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship.

Prof. Kelly holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, and prior to this post was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Cambridge, holding an NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship and an EPSRC Postdoctoral Fellowship. Before arriving at QMUL in 2025, Prof Kelly was a Professor of Pure Mathematics in the Geometry and Mathematical Physics group at the University of Birmingham.

They are a member of the London Mathematical Society’s Committee for Women and Diversity in Mathematics and on the REF 2029 People and Diversity Advisory Panel.
