Profile

Dr Lei Fang is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematical Sciences.

Her academic pursuits span across various fields, with a particular focus on Digital Transformation, Systemic Risk Management, and Machine Learning Applications in Actuarial Science and Higher Education. Additionally, she actively engages in pedagogical research. She enjoys teaching Actuarial Science, Risk Management, and Financial Mathematics.

In addition to being the Deputy Head of Centre of Mathematical Education and Deputy Director of Education, Lei is currently a member of the University Senate, and the Chair of GenAI Working Party in Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA).

Supervision

Areas of Supervision Expertise:

Lei welcomes prospective doctoral students with a research interest in AI adoption in the field of risk management, actuarial science, and higher education.  She also has a special interest in pedagogical research.
