Profile
Ivan Tomasic is a Reader in Pure Mathematics at Queen Mary University of London.
He is interested in mathematical logic/model theory and its interactions with algebraic geometry and number theory. More specifically, he has done a lot of work on the model theory of difference fields, as well as difference algebra, formulating the foundations of difference algebraic geometry. Recently, he has developed an interest in category theory and topos theory from both geometric and logical perspective.
Following his PhD at the University of Edinburgh, he held positions in Leeds, Lyon and Zagreb, joining QMUL in 2007.
