On 9 July the Parades Commission ruled that an Orange Order parade could not pass through the Ardoyne area of Belfast on its return journey on 12 July, a decision which led to clashes between protesters and the PSNI in north and east Belfast for several days. Kerr discusses the difficulties of policing these protests. The Nolan Show is a daily current affairs programme on BBC Radio Ulster.
