Dr Tim Edkins

Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship) in Politics/International Politics in the School of Politics and International Relations

Tim will be working with the Queen Mary Academy as a Fellow from February to July 2025.  Student using a computer on a table outdoors

His project will consider what undergraduates in Politics and International Relations find meaningful at the beginning of their degree, whether this can be usefully articulated as research interests and questions, and how students can be supported to explore these alongside their other modules.

The project seeks to examine how to support and increase engagement with academic development, in terms of academic skills and discipline-specific knowledge, and consider what, if any, effects this has on employability.
