News and Events

Since being awarded PFHEA, I have actively supported colleagues at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) through the Teaching Recognition Programme (TRP), both as a mentor and as a reviewer of applications across all levels of Fellowship. Mentoring and reviewing TRP applications at QMUL has allowed me to better appreciate the breadth of innovative and high-quality teaching and leadership taking place across the university. It has also enabled me to support my own team more effectively, as I can highlight excellent practice, connect colleagues with others who share similar interests, and encourage collaboration. This work has also given me space to reflect on my own practice and leadership, further reinforcing my commitment to enhancing teaching excellence and the student experience.— Prof. Lesley Howell, School of Physical and Chemical Sciences
