UNIque

Here’s how to know if it’s right for you:

  1. You want to grow, but feel stuck.
You’ve got experience, ambition and ideas — but something’s holding you back. It might be confidence, clarity, or just too many options (or too few).
  2. You’re tired of waiting for permission.
You want to lead, speak up, or change direction — and you’re ready to stop waiting for someone else to tap you on the shoulder.
  3. You’re questioning your next step.
Fellowship? Industry? Staying in academia? Promotion? You’d love space to reflect and plan with support.
  4. You want to feel like yourself again.
Somewhere along the way, you’ve felt flattened, quieted, or small. You’re ready to reconnect with your strengths, values and voice.
  5. You want to be in a room with women who get it. You’d love a supportive space to talk honestly about work, life, ambition and confidence – without judgement.

Attending UNIque made me reassess my career trajectory and identify areas that I need to prioritise. It gave me confidence to see that I can make changes to enable me to be in charge of my own future and not just fall into jobs as I have done since finishing my PhD.

Confidence building in the walk-through exercises e.g. talking about our work without feeling ashamed or uncomfortable, drilling out some of those bad, probably gender-based (or in my case, I believe personality-driven) tendencies to be much more comfortable underselling oneself! It's not a bad trait but at some point, we discover that academia demands more self PR!!
