Research Supervisor 2025 Winners
Winner: David Lockwood
David Lockwood is Business Systems Manager in the School of Engineering and Materials Science. He was nominated for his recently launched refresh of the Faculty of Science and Engineering's research webpages. This project covered the design and delivery of an integrated web presence for the Faculty's 20 research centres, while telling a compelling story about the Faculty's research and innovation strengths and offering easy ways for key stakeholders to become more involved with Queen Mary's R&I work.
The panel were particularly impressed by the innovation and ambition of David's work, going above and beyond to ensure that Queen Mary's Science and Engineering reputation has a strong external platform for stakeholder engagement. He has also skilfully embedded existing research databases into the new webpages, ensuring they are populated with up-to-date, dynamic content.

Esther Dominy, Communications Officer in the School of Politics and International Relations. Highly commended by the panel for her exceptional efforts in covering staff absence and stepping into the role of Events Manager in addition to her usual busy role in comms for the School, and delivering a high-quality series of influential and successful events.
Eva Wozniak, Deputy Manager of the Genome Centre. Highly commended for her pivotal role in introducing new cutting-edge genomic technologies to the Centre, and successfully balancing ongoing operations supervision with high-level technical and managerial support during a time of great change.
