BP Finance Scholarship: Supporting Future Black Leaders in Financial Services

The School of Business and Management is pleased to introduce the 2025/26 BP Finance Scholarship, an transformative award for talented students from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue their degree with full financial support.

Published:

Funded by BP, this prestigious scholarship covers full university tuition fees and also provides a living expenses allowance.

The scholarship, now in its third year,  has been created to address the significant underrepresentation of Black people in the UK financial services sector. It is open exclusively to incoming Year 1 Home students of Black heritage who have firmly accepted an offer to study one of the eligible undergraduate degree programmes within the School of Business and Management or the School of Economics and Finance.

These scholarships will provide three years’ funding for each of the taught years.  Students on a four-year course, including a year in industry or a year abroad, will be eligible; however, funding will only be available for the three taught years. Students on a degree apprenticeship course will not be eligible.
